Écart entered into a participation in the parent holding, Bizcuit Holding B.V., on December 30, 2014. Herewith Écart acquired a substantial interest in an SME that holds a strong market position. Since Écart participates for an indefinite period of time, the company obtains a partnership with a long-term perspective. The entry of Écart – who has several ICT companies in its portfolio – allows Bizcuit to grow faster and to capitalize on the huge demand for cloud software.
Recruiting MBI-management is part of its growth strategy. Écart acquires a majority interest in the company, searches for a director who is willing to invest, whereupon Écart reduces its share interest. It is a proven approach, which, combined with a clear business structure and limited bank debt, allows Bizcuit to fully focus on its future.
Throughout the months following participation, Écart and former director Ton Janssen managed to arouse the interest of several MBI candidates in a stepwise entry into Minox. After an extensive selection process, agreement was reached with Hessel Kuik. The latter started as a CEO of this company on July 1, 2015. Mr Kuik, who acquires an interest in Bizcuit, combines proven financial and IT-knowledge with extensive management experience, and is highly motivated to further expand the strong market position of Minox.
In May 2016 commercial director Maurice van Gaalen joined the company. Mr Van Gaalen also acquired an interest in Bizcuit. Van Gaalen is an experienced and entrepreneurial manager with an eye for quality.
Full attention will be given to commercial reinforcement and to the development of cloud modules that complement the new administrative cloud software generation, which was launched in 2014. The Minox cloud software has many advantages, especially for accounting packages: always and anywhere available, platform-independent and no more worrying about version management and back ups. Minox cloud allows accountants to better cooperate with their clients and to provide more added value. SME entrepreneurs as well gain benefit from the cloud modules. These developments definitely ensure a growth market for Minox.
