AC Analytical Controls (1981) supplies analytical instruments for the petrochemical industry, including gas- and liquid chromatographes. From 1987 to 2003, the majority of shares was held by legal predecessors of AlpInvest/NIBC. Director Thijs Cohen was appointed in 2001. Early 2004 he got the opportunity to take over all shares from NIBC. With the support of Écart Invest 1 BV he realized a management buy out in March 2004. Mr. Cohen obtained the majoity of shares; Écart obtained a minority interest in the company. Two members of the management team became joint shareholders. The company showed a positive development since the management buy-out.
On August 8, 2006, the shareholders of AC Analytical Controls sold their shares to the publicly traded Roper Industries Inc.
